Last Call for Entries for the A/V Competition from the Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union.

The closing date for entries into the L&CPU Audio Visual competition is

Sunday 27th January

- by which date it is hoped that we have a good crop of AV sequences to show our judge, Richard Brown FRPS, from the Midland Counties PF.

The judging takes place on Saturday 9th February commencing at 10am and we hope for a good audience to be in attendance to hear the judge’s constructive comments on each sequence.

The competition is free to enter and free to attend and there will also be free tea and coffee …. and maybe even a biscuit or two.

Around a third of L&CPU clubs hold some sort of internal audio-visual competition so, if your club is one of these, maybe you can kindly encourage the members who entered your competition to enter their sequence into the L&CPU one. Also, importantly, to come along to see just how enjoyable and informative the perceived ‘dark art’ of Audio Visual can be.

On the Friday evening our Judge, Richard Brown, is to give a talk entitled ‘Scriptwriting in Depth’ commencing at 7.30pm – if you are planning to attend you can either book your tickets on the Wilmslow Guild AV Group website or just come along on the night.

We hope to see you and your members at one of these two events. If you require an entry form or further information – then please contact me at:

Best wishes, John Smith APAGB CPAGB L&CPU Audio Visual Secretary.
